WOMEN INTO GOLF 2025

We are once again hosting coaching and social sessions for women who wish to get into golf this Spring.

The opening session is on Wednesday 2nd April is a ‘meet the team’ putting and prosecco evening. There will then be six further sessions on Wednesday evenings hosted by Simon Sherratt and our team of CFGC buddies led by Di Thornton.

Simon Sherratt is a PGA level 3 coach and has been a professional for many years. He has helped golfers of all ages and standards from juniors and extreme beginners to European Tour level players. Simon has also an extensive playing career in Leicestershire and did once play in the British Open.

From 2019 to 2024 Simon was also the Club Steward alongside his wife, Helen.

Members are also invited to lessons with PGA Professional Lee Sheldon. Lee mainly coaches at Charnwood Golf Complex in Loughborough but gives short game and playing lessons at the club.

Lee also coaches junior group sessions on Saturday mornings.

There is no professional shop at the club, however, there is a small supply of golf balls, gloves, tees, and other small accessories behind the bar.  Motocaddy trolleys and accessories are available to order with a next day delivery service.

Simon can provide a full re-gripping service and can help with the purchase of golf clubs.
